“The Monday Peeve”

Hello, All!

Paula of “Light Motifs II” started a new series called, “The Monday Peeve”

The Monday Peeve

As per Paula, smiles and positive posts are all well and good, but sometimes I need to vent a bit. How about you? That’s what the Monday Peeve is all about, a chance to blow off a little steam at the beginning of the week, so then we can go merrily on our way once again (hah). I’ll pick a topic that’s on my mind, but you can vent about whatever you please, here in comments or on your own blog. Grab the photo, use the #TMP tag, and link back to me (or not ~ I dgaf), and Bob’s yer uncle. I do reserve the right to delete any links that offend my delicate sensibilities. So far, none have, but it could happen! I have feelings!

My Monday Peeve is…

Yesterday, I had busted my buttocks cleaning.  I’m not meaning the light dusting sort of cleaning, I mean break out every cleaning product I own, lug the vacuum cleaner up the stairs, did three loads of laundry, washed the windows, cleaned the blinds, cleaned the ceiling fan, changed sheets on the bed, cleaned out Peanuts cage, took all my knick-knacks and thoroughly cleaned and polished them, dusted all the furniture, vacuumed not once, but three times to make sure I got every little thing picked up, and then finally took a much-needed shower.

All of that, and I still have 4-5 items on my list of “Things to do” that I truly wanted to get done today.

Now, I realize that this doesn’t sound like that much, but if you suffer from chronic pain, every little thing added pressure and pain to my back and knees.  Heck, on Saturday, my right knee dislocated.  But, I was determined to get this stuff done.

Hell, I didn’t even have the energy to sit up and write my “Mindfulness Monday” last evening.  I literally wrote it off.  In fact, I barely read yesterday at all, nor wrote much.

By 7:15pm last night, I was shot. I ate a little dinner and laid down in bed to relax.  I turned on Netflix to continue watching “13 Reasons Why” – I don’t know why I bothered.  I knocked out without taking any of my meds, therefore waking up shaky, light-headed, and extremely sore.

I took a look at the list with the remaining items of what needed to be done and tossed it aside.  That list can wait until Wednesday for all I care.  My knee is a lovely shade of purple and blue and mighty swollen, one false move and my back spasms.

Today, so far, I have done a couple of prompts and I’m still reading comments from yesterday and today.  And, to be honest… All I want to do is lay back down. Which is probably what I will be doing after this post.  LOL!

Okay, so there you have it… My Monday Peeve! 😖

Paula, Thanks for allowing me to spew about what is ticking me off today.

Take Care & God Bless!

      1. I live alone, no pets, I don’t walk to stir up dust from carpet in the only room with it. My worst problem is I can’t open windows etc because of the wind here, either bringing in dust or seeds, grains, gravel, etc. My only window is unattainable in bedroom and sliding glass doors are buffeted by a parking lot. So no.😂

        1. My roommate’s dog barely comes into my bedroom, so the only one I clean up is Peanut’s cage, which is every other day.
I am a very tidy person, and my roommate is the total opposite. I bascially ingnore the entire house with the exception of the kitchen, because it doesn’t matter what I do, it gets messed up in seconds.

        1. Peanut rarely shuts up unless I have plenty of stuff in his cage to keep him engaged.
His big thing, amongst everything he always says is while I’m on the phone with my mother. He walks back and forth on his perch saying, “Okay now, bye-bye now, alright?” He hates when I talk to my mother every night. He’s find with talking to his grandmother long distance though. LOL!
