“Carnival Games”

(Micro-Poetry)

Bells, whistles, and lights flashing

beckoning you, pay five bucks

have a seat take your chances

aim and shoot at your target

go home with a stuffed animal

victory proof of a good aim.

    1. My ex-husband and I were great at carnival games. We would actually people watch others and exaine which machines were working best… Then we’d go in for the kill. We would spend our $5 a dollar a game, and walk out with the largest prizes. We once had to make three trips to our car to put our winning in because it was too much to carry. LOL!
We were like two little kids, high-fiving one another. Naturally, we were in our twenties when this took place.
      I haven’t been to a carnival since.
I just remember it being so much fun. And, that was the most important thing! 🤗 🤩
