“Rumbling”

That’s very nice Beckie,
but l just still don’t get Haiku – what is it
LikeLiked by 1 person
5-7-5 syllables per line = 3 lines.
Re-read my haiku, and count the syllables while reading it. You’ll understand it then.

So if you broke that down into just the syllables themselves how would you write that right now?

Example line 1 = 5 syllables
line 2 = 7
line 3 = 5
____________________
bewitched by young eyes = 5
twinkling blue under lashes = 7
match that of the sky = 5
be-witched = 2 syllables by =1 young =1 eyes = 1 total = 5
Understand now?

Yes l think l cracked it with my very last comment π Thank you.
I understand it, now l will be thinking syllables all night, but l don’t think l could get it right, because l am too damn verbose π
But you handle it wonderfully π

It’s takes a little practice, but you’ll be able to pull it off. I have faith in you!

Uhuh lol, l will give it a bash in private, put my hand under my chin counting wise lmao, then once that’s secured, try and think of something to write π

Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry usually based on nature. Google it, the explanation might be clearer if you read that. That’s sort of how I learned it. π€

I was reading some whilst counting syllables, it would make a very good comical sketch l feel, that dumb [1] look [1] on 1 my 1 face, 1 was mor on ic [3] or rather mo ron ic
ha ha π
Mor on is 2 lol: )

look =1 on = 1 my =1 face= 1 was = 1 mor-on-ic = 3 You’ve hit 8 in your first line.

I don’t mean 5, 7, 5 l mean if you were to write the letters themselves that made that 5,7,5 what would you write?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m not quite understanding you now? Random 5 letters?

I am guessing it would be what u,i,u ,e, o is that right?

Are you now messing with me? u.i.u.e.o.????? How about b-i-n-g-o??? “And Bingo was his name OH!”

No, l wasn’t messing it, it’s how l think l was sitting here with my hand under my chin counting syllables – running your Haiku over and over and counting, then realised it wasn’t the letters idiot [as in me] it is the words Rum Bling [2] lol!

LOL! Heck, I even count with my fingers while writing them too. Nothing wrong with that. I do it all the time.

Panic not Beckie, you can delete all these comments π I just had to touch base again with my schooling π
Rum Bling Thun der storms that’s it isn’t it ? π
I am fascinated with Haiku, just never understood it properly so making a short verse an image of sorts π
