Please Share: Suicide Awareness on Blogging Sites

Suicide Awareness Ribbon

Hello, All…

I’m writing to you because of a blogger that I interacted with last evening.  In fact, I went as far as reblogging her post with hopes that other’s would try to help this poor woman who was really crying out for help, or rather… Writing a suicide note last night on her post.  (Which is something she admitted).

I tried my hardest to keep her talking and making suggestions in order to get help, but then the comments ended.  I stayed up until after 2am this morning, hoping and waiting for a response from this blogger.  No response was ever made.

I’ve got to be honest here… This truly scared me, and I tried social media outlets to find this woman.  All I know is she lives in the UK. As of now, I don’t know what else to do except share her post again.

I found this via Pinterest, several International Suicide Hotlines there for anybody who feels afraid, lost, depressed to the point of feeling like there is no other choice but to let go, and give up.

I have a question for you the readers that follow me… Have you ever come across a fellow blogger in dire need of help?  How do you handle this?

My thoughts and prayers are going out to anyone who feels so alone that they don’t know where to reach out.  Know that you are never alone.  The people here in the mental health community know all too well what this feeling feels like… You are not alone!  Someone is always here to talk to.

I don’t usually ask for people to share what I write, but I am hoping that a great number of you share the following information throughout the blogosphere.  Show your support to those in need of help.  I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you, in advance!

God Bless,

Beckie 💚

  2. Beckie, I really want to share your post but I am not sure how. Ever since I switched to the WP Business Package I have been unable to reblog posts… If you have any ideas on how I can share/reblog it, please let me know! Thanks, Samantha

  3. This is a good example of why we need not just more suicide prevention resources, but resources that are both effective and acceptable so that no one is left unserved. As Michelle mentioned in her comment to you, she knows what the available resources are, and there’s nothing that she identifies as effective and acceptable. Crisis lines certainly have their place, but we need (and deserve) more.

  4. I’ve felt alone and trapped and hopeless before too. I’m glad she reached out and let you know she’s okay! We never know the lives we touch. I’ll be happy to reblog just to remind everyone that there is an awesome community here.
