~ The Roads of Life ~ (Poem)

asphalt road between trees

~ The Roads of Life ~

(Poem)

They say the shortest distance

between two points is a straight line

and if you choose that path

you’ll have saved some time.

But the roads in life are anything but straight,

They go uphill, downhill, curves twisting, forming figure eights.

The road to Heaven is straight and narrow

but the devil’s crossroad points a different arrow

The road we choose can make us wise

be careful though, they could also lead to your demise

Watch out for those detour signs

and keep your eyes within the lines.
