To my surprise yesterday, I was not only nominated once but twice for The Versatile Blogger Award by two genuinely wonderful men. Rory of “A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepip” & Kristian of “Tales From The Mind of Kristian” – Both of you made my blah day perk right up when I saw the nomination. Thank you, so very much!!! 💗 If you aren’t familiar with these fine gentlemen, please make it a point to check out their site’s, you won’t be sorry.
The VBA Guidelines are as follows:
If you are gifted, you’ve been awarded the Versatile Blogger Award.
Thank the person and/or persons who gave you this award.
Include a link to their blog.
Gift & notify 5 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly.
Finally, tell the person who gifted you 7 things about yourself.
Please note: Since I was selected twice, I shall share 7 things about myself instead of 14, and select 5 bloggers keeping with the theme of the award guidelines.
What is The Versatile Blogger Award?
My take on the award and what it means to me is this…
Taking the time to recognize and show appreciation towards our fellow bloggers and writers. WordPress is about community, and WOW! what a community it truly is. We are given the freedom to express ourselves in many formats by sharing our craft, skill, diversity, resources, variety, and talent.
I am truly proud to be a part of the WordPress community for several reasons. Not only do I read some amazing pieces of poetry, stories, and topics, but I also feel a kindred spirit with most of you. That is a unique and special gift that keeps on giving daily.
When you consider nominating a blogger for the VBA, consider the quality of their writing, technique, and style. This also applies to those who post photographs, and/or artwork.
Honor the bloggers who bring something to your life whether it’s every day or now and then.
The 7 Things About Me
Hmmm? Well, you all know I have a Mental Illness/Disorders, but I refuse to allow it to define the person I am. I’m a strong believer in positivity.
My blog originated back in 2016 by speaking about mental illness and disorders only. Mid 2017, is when I started to dabble in poetry and/or short stories. (That was always a passion of mine).
When I am writing there is always classical music playing in the back round. It helps me concentrate and keeps me calm.
Although I adore classical music, I also feel the same way towards ’80s music because it brings me back to happier and fun times in my life.
I’m more of an introvert than a social butterfly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with small dosages of close-knit friends from time to time, but overall, I tend to keep to myself. In other words, I’m not a crowd kinda gal. I’m better at being social here on WordPress.
I collect angels and dragonflies. Most of the angels I collect are faceless for reasons being when I was an alcoholic, they gave me comfort because they placed no judgment towards me. (Weird, huh?) – I actually never admitted that before until now. Dragonflies, on the other hand, signify transformation, change in perspective, adaptability, power, poise, and wisdom. When I spot dragonflies about, I always feel a sense of comfort.
Let’s see… #7? I didn’t see that listing 7 things about myself would be so difficult. LOL!
I tend to have a quirky sense of humor. Sometimes the sarcasm slips out and other times I’m just plain goofy. I don’t quite like being deadly serious all of the time, especially when it comes to my being mentally ill. I guess one can say, it’s my way of breaking the stigma that surrounds mental illness. I’d rather laugh than cry all the time. (Like I use to before I got help).
