FOWC with Fandango – Petrified (Poem)

I’d like to send out a Thank You to Kristian of “Tales From The Mind Of Kristian” for selecting me to participate in the Picture/Word challenge.  I don’t usually partake in these challenges, but what the heck!  I’ll give it a shot.

Here is the picture that Kristian chose, and the word is Petrified.

bicycle riding

side by side

enjoying the scenery

as life passes by

botanical gardens

of aromatic roses galore

sun-loving perennials

low lying slopes of junipers growth

but, beware of the Boston Ivy Vines…

they’ll intertwine through your wheels

cover you up quickly

leaving you petrified

patrons that visit now only view you

as part of the landscape

frozen in time, no longer gliding by.

BC 2019

Using the same picture and same word choice, I am selecting the following people to play along.  No pressure if you don’t want to accept the challenge, but if you feel so inclined to do so, you may write a poem or short story with what I have handed down to you.

My Three Choices Are:

Megha’s World

Poetry From The Inkwell

A Guy Called Bloke & K9 Doodlepip

Many thanks again to Kristian!!!!
