~*~ Productive & Positive Day Horray! ~*~

I will be grateful for this day ~ tangie baxter-home of the art journal caravan..and a cool squirrel in the pix!

Hello, and Good Day to you All!  I hope this post finds you all well today.

I’ve got to admit…  Since I got rid of the car last Saturday and found out that I will have Medicare by December, things have been moving at a nice and easy pace.  My depression is finally lifting after months of being in the trenches, and my anxiety has been kept at bay.  Plus, I’ve been finally sleeping like a baby at night.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m still sore as hell because of my bad knees and back, but mentally, I’m in a good place right now. “Finally.”

After getting rid of the clunker car Saturday, my roommate wanted to look at adopting “Rescuing”  another dog.  We were all over the place on Saturday looking to save an older dog.  My roommate knows fully that I am unable to walk a dog, but on the other hand, she knows I’ll help with the feeding and give it lots of love like I already give to her dog “Pinky” and cat “Kady.”

Yesterday, Thanks to Ashley, of “Mental Health @ Home”, I’m looking at guinea pigs.  She just loves them so much, and they bring her such joy…  I have to admit, I miss snuggling and cuddling a little furry friend.

“Peanut” (parrot) will always be my baby boy for as long as I live.  He loves to be held, but on his terms only.  Oh, yes, there is still the constant talking and him requesting, “Mommy, mommy, rub the head.” Which I jump to right away.  However, the way Ashley talks about her guinea pigs…  OMG!  I want to hold and cuddle a little dude and give him lots of loving.  But, it will have to wait until I return from visiting my mother in Florida.

Today, I booked the flight and reserved the car rental.  My trip is booked between November 6th – November 14th!  I’m so excited!!!  I even got the round-trip flight at no cost for the window seats.  (not like the last time I went down there).  I haven’t even told my mom yet, that the trip is set in stone.  She is going to freak out!  I can’t wait!

All in all, it’s been a very productive day.  I was up nice and early, read some blogs, wrote on my own, cleaned out “Peanuts”  cage, and got the rest of the garbage and recyclables ready to go out this evening.  I even made time for meditating first thing this morning.

So, that’s all that has been going on since Saturday… Busy, busy, busy.

Now, back to reading.  Have a great day and/or evening depending on where you are in this great big world of ours!

Take Care & God Bless,

Beckie  💗

  1. Yes, it’s Ashley that has made me think about guinea pigs again. 🙂 When I one day have a pet again, it may be something smaller and guinea are what I am thinking.
If you decide on one, one day, I would love to hear about yours.

      1. I owned a Syrian hamster once and she was gorgeous. It was first time owning new and for a little thing, she gave me as much love as my cat, Mikey did.
I named my hamster Bubbles. 🙂

          1. I bought the Syrian hamster with me wanting the only one pet. You can’t have them in pairs, or groups as adults, as they will fight.
Syrian hamsters are also good as first time owners of hamsters.

If I was to have a hamster again, I would have another of these.

    1. I’m telling you… I still have that little dude on my mind. I wish I get him now, but it wouldn’t be fair to him. I want to be able to save for a nice cage, food, treats, toys, hay, and every other little thing he would need.
But, yeah, the flight is booked, the car is reserved and I pay off the balance when I arrive. Plus I want to make sure I have enough money so I’ll take my mom on day trips and dinner or lunch or both. I simply can’t wait! 😀 😁
