Hello, My Friends. Happy Friday to each and every one of you!
Yesterday, I met with friends from the old facilitated Anxiety Group that we use to attend at our mental health facility. Boy oh boy, did I need it. It felt great sitting outside at one of our favorite parks under a pavilion. The parks name is Duke Island Park, Bridgewater, NJ, USA.
Couldn’t ask for a better place for a group of people that suffer from anxiety. The serene atmosphere and pleasant weather conditions were absolutely exquisite. We ended up talking about our anxiety, and triggers. We talked about just day to day struggles, then we moved on to just chatting and having a wonderful time sitting there.
I’ll tell you, we sat there chatting for over 3 & 1/2 hours, enjoying the peace and quiet. I actually felt so much better after talking about the problems I’m facing with the health insurance issue (or the lack of for that matter). Ideas were exchanged, and I’m looking into all of the options come Monday morning.
Today, I had several errands to do, and while I’m writing this now, I’m still doing stuff like laundry and cleaning. For the first time this week, I found motivation and had a more positive outlook on things.
I truly am full of gratitude for us 5 people meeting weekly to handle our anxieties, and just know we are there for one another. The benefits are so worth it. Again, it helped by being in such a tranquil area enjoying the nature we were surrounded by too.
So, that’s all I’ve got for today. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. For people that suffer from anxiety, if you have the means, please visit a local park or go walking on a trail just to take in all the beautiful nature we have. Personally, I may just go there again this weekend for peace. I do feel like it benefited me in such a positive way.
Take Care & God Bless,
