Never Forgetting

Never Forget What Americans Saw 9/11/2001Picture by Pinterest

An emptiness fills the room

suffocates all logic and reason,

no warning or cry to be sounded

suppressed and drowning

in billows of thick black smoke.

Onlookers try to consume

that awful day of loss and pain

engulfed by power and fear of

something unseen.

Overpowered by grief and despair,

never know which way to turn

always lost in the mass confusion;

thirteen hundred plus feet

above the ground

Fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters

tears seared in history

tallest twins laid down.
