Suddenly, I knew.

It all became so clear.

My words they flowed so freely

Spoken from my soul so dearly.

What I had felt was that divine,

the warmth assuaged my weight-laden heart.

Love is extraordinary, it lights up my face,

but when I lose it, my memory will erase.

My guard has risen like a wall,

refusal to accept your call.

Stumbling along the way,

my broken heart astray.

Dreams anew, now diminished,

Self-image destroyed.

You strike when uncoiled

Leaving me to die alone

I’m finished.
